Michele arrived in Australia in November 2004 with a backpack, a dream, and not a single word of English.

He came from a small town called San Lorenzo, nestled between the Romagna coast and Bologna, bringing with him the values of Italian tradition, hard work, and family.

Sydney soon became home.

It was here that he met Jessica, the love of his life.

Together, they built a beautiful family with their two children, Marco and Ivy.

This is where the name That’s Amore was born — from love, family, and the joy of sharing food together.

Michele’s passion for food has always guided him.

Trained in Italy as a pastry chef and later as a chef, he learned to respect ingredients and let simplicity speak.

But pizza — honest, rustic, and made to be shared — truly captured his heart.

For over ten years, Michele has experimented, refined, and perfected his craft, carefully developing his dough and using only fresh, high-quality ingredients, staying true to Italian tradition while embracing his journey in Australia.

Today, Michele doesn’t just make pizza.

He shares memories, warmth, and tradition.

A slice of Italy, made with love.

Because for him, pizza is family.

Pizza is passion.

That’s Amore. 🍕❤️
